Reception site in the works

My mom called me today, wondering what's up with the wedding planning?  J & I haven't officially gone up to Sacramento to start any official planning even though we've been engaged for over a year.  

But finally, we are starting to look at a couple of places to figure out where we could possibly hold a reception.  & the whole darn thing is just so expensive!  But I think we've found something that will work with our budget and please both my parents and ourselves.

I want to get a move on it.  Our wedding is planned for September and places are filling up fast (not to mention all the "stuff" that's gotta get done!)  ...How do I foresee a stress-storm looming?
